Join us at Head Room and help make our community an inclusive , more connected place—one cup of coffee at a time.

Head Room is a social enterprise by Jami, a leading provider of mental health services for the Jewish community.

More than a cafe, Head Room is a pioneering community hub on the high street, where informal, peer-led mental health support is delivered, conversations and connections are made, and a fresh daily menu is provided in a relaxed and inclusive space.

Head Room’s mental health support is accessible to everyone in the community and is key to how Jami supports people for whom mental illness and distress make everyday life a struggle.

In November 2023 Jami and Jewish Care announced they would become one, to ensure long-term sustainable services for people of all ages in the community. So if you're ready to make a positive impact every day, join us. Together, we can make a real difference.

LocationHead Room

Founded in 2016, Head Room is a social enterprise by mental health charity Jami, a part of Jewish Care.

Situated in the heart of the community, our cafe is a relaxed and inclusive space where we provide mental health support and education that is accessible to everyone in the community. Head Room is changing the way the Jewish and wider community think about mental health, helping to normalise conversations about mental illness and distress, and raise awareness of a condition that affects one in four people in the UK every year. More importantly, our café has been the pioneer in taking mental health support from an institutional setting to the high street, leading the way for others to follow.

We offer a free community programme of groups and activities to support mental health and wellbeing, where everyone is welcome; alongside a fresh, Kosher food and drinks menu. The cafe also caters to events and functions from Sunday to Friday.

Together, we can make a real difference to people whose mental illness and distress make every day life a struggle.
