Jewish Care is seeking a dedicated and clinically experienced Clinical Support Lead – Dementia & Mental Health to support the Registered Manager and Care Management Teams across our specialist mental health residential care homes.

This pivotal role supports the effective day-to-day running of Sidney Corob House, providing care for adults aged 50+ with mental health needs, and Jack Gardner House, a safe and welcoming home for Jewish adults aged 18+ with mental health needs.

You will play a key role in supporting clinical care delivery, coordinating assessments and reviews, promoting best practice, and ensuring high standards of person-centred care. This is an ideal opportunity for a clinically experienced professional who wants to step away from shift-based work while continuing to make a meaningful impact on residents’ lives.

This post is working 39 hours per week (Monday to Friday) 8am to 4pm

What You Will Be Doing

Clinical & Care Support

  • Undertake and support comprehensive assessments of residents’ mental health and wellbeing
  • Coordinate and monitor the delivery of clinical and care interventions
  • Support medication management, emergency care, and clinical decision-making

Supporting the Management Team

  • Support the Registered Manager and Care Management Teams with day-to-day operational oversight
  • Contribute to care planning, risk management, and service development
  • Provide clinical input into policies, procedures, and service improvements

Multidisciplinary Working

  • Act as a key liaison with healthcare professionals, community mental health services, and external partners
  • Support and attend clinical reviews, MDT meetings, and care planning discussions
  • Facilitate effective communication with residents and families
  • Quality, Compliance & Governance
  • Support compliance with CQC regulations, internal policies, and best practice standards
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, audits, and records
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and service reviews

Staff Support & Development

  • Support staff development through guidance, coaching, and informal training
  • Promote good practice in dementia care, mental health support, safeguarding, and capacity
  • Resident Advocacy
  • Advocate for residents’ rights, dignity, and wellbeing
  • Provide emotional support to residents and families
  • Support residents in accessing appropriate healthcare services

What You Will Need

Essential
  • Clinical qualification such as RGN, RMN, or a relevant mental health-related degree (e.g. psychology, psychotherapy)
  • Experience working with adults with mental health needs and/or dementia
  • Strong understanding of person-centred care, safeguarding, capacity, and DoLS
  • Experience supporting care delivery in a residential, nursing, or similar care setting
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
  • Strong organisational and communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience supporting audits, quality improvement, or compliance activity
  • Experience supporting or guiding staff in clinical practice
  • Understanding of social care regulations and best practice
