Our multi-award-winning organisation is looking to recruit a Housekeeping Assistant to join our Hospitality team. This role may include some weekend working.

The role of Housekeeping Assistant will involve the delivery of Hospitality Services within our Campus, Care Homes, and Community Centres to excellent standards.

Working Hours

This role is working 37.5 hours per week,  5 days out of 7, Sunday to Thursday, with flexibility required to work either of the following shifts:

7:30am – 4:00pm
8:00am – 4:30pm

Candidates must be able to work flexibly across these shift patterns according to the needs of the service.

What you will be doing

You will have a key role ensuring we deliver an excellent service to our service users, creating an inviting and pleasant environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home
  • Cleaning residents' rooms, communal areas, and staff facilities
  • Following infection control and health and safety procedures
  • Supporting the housekeeping team to provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment

What We Are Looking For:

  • Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is essential
  • Using floor and carpet machine is essential for maintaining high cleaning standards 
  • Good attention to detail
  • Reliable and hardworking
  • Flexible approach to working patterns and rota requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The campus is home to Otto Schiff care home, which provides personal care for people living with dementia. Residents at Otto Schiff get to live in a close-knit community while remaining part of the wider care home and enjoying the many campus activities.

It also houses the bustling Michael Sobell Jewish Community Centre and Holocaust Survivors’ Centre, as well as our head office Amélie House.
