You will lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, maintain high standards of clinical governance and regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in the quality of care and resident experience. You will also oversee the home's operational and financial performance, workforce planning and service development, building a positive culture in which colleagues are supported to deliver their best.

Working collaboratively with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external partners, you will help ensure Anita Dorfman House continues to provide a safe, welcoming and high-quality nursing service.

This role is working 39 hours per week with an expectation of being on call as and when required which may include weekends and nights.

  • At least two years’ experience in senior management within health or social care.
  • Proven experience managing a large care or nursing home, with a strong track record of maintaining high standards and achieving positive regulatory outcomes.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing other managers and creating a positive, accountable working culture.
  • A strong understanding of clinical governance, quality assurance, safeguarding and the regulatory requirements of care services.
  • Commercial awareness and experience managing budgets, occupancy, staffing and operational performance.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the needs of older people, including dementia care, end-of-life care, safeguarding and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
  • A commitment to person-centred care, ensuring residents’ dignity, independence, wellbeing and individual needs remain at the heart of everything you do.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to work collaboratively with residents, families, colleagues and external partners.
  • An awareness of Jewish life, or a willingness to learn about the Jewish way of life and its importance in delivering culturally sensitive care.
