We are looking for a dynamic, organised, and relationship-focused Events Lead to join our Fundraising Events team and take the lead on coordinating and delivering events and engagement activity for the Young Jami Jewish Care programme.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with fundraising or events experience who enjoys building relationships, creating engaging experiences, and working within a fast-paced and community-focused environment.

You will play a key role in supporting fundraising activity, strengthening supporter engagement, and delivering high-quality events and volunteering opportunities that inspire younger supporters to connect with Jewish Care and Jami.

This post is working an average of 36.25 hours per week (Monday to Friday).

About the Service

Young Jami Jewish Care is a programme designed for people aged 21–35, bringing together younger supporters through networking events, social activities, volunteering opportunities, and fundraising initiatives that support both Jewish Care and Jami.

The Events team delivers more than 30 events each year, engaging over 10,000 supporters, volunteers, patrons, and members of the Jewish community while raising significant annual income to support vital services.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Coordinating and delivering fundraising, networking, volunteering, and engagement events across the Young Jami Jewish Care calendar
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with committees, chairs, patrons, volunteers, and supporters
  • Supporting the growth and promotion of events through networking, audience engagement, and community outreach
  • Acting as an ambassador for Jewish Care and Jami within the wider Jewish community
  • Managing the Young Patron programme, including renewals, recruitment, and supporter engagement
  • Overseeing the Super Sundays volunteering programme and supporting volunteers during activities and events
  • Managing event administration, communications, and supporter records in line with GDPR and organisational procedures
  • Supporting budget monitoring and tracking event income and expenditure
  • Working with internal teams and external suppliers to create professional marketing and promotional materials
  • Supporting wider fundraising events and projects across the organisation where required

What We Are Looking For
Essential

  • Experience managing fundraising, corporate, or community events
  • Experience delivering income-generating activity and working towards fundraising or sales targets
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience monitoring budgets, income, and expenditure
  • Good IT and database skills
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative, and prioritise workload effectively
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A flexible approach, including willingness to support occasional evening and weekend events
  • A positive, proactive, and customer-focused attitude

Desirable

  • Degree-level education or equivalent
  • Experience working within fundraising or the charity sector
  • Understanding of the Jewish community, particularly within London and the Southeast
  • Experience building relationships with lay leaders, patrons, or volunteers

The Maurice and Vivienne Wohl Campus is a modern, purpose-built development in Golders Green. It offers a balance of activities and relaxation for residents and visitors alike, as well as care and retirement living.

The campus is home to Otto Schiff care home, which provides personal care for people living with dementia. Residents at Otto Schiff get to live in a close-knit community while remaining part of the wider care home and enjoying the many campus activities.
